This is Nikifor. Nikifor was one of Polish artists. He was thought to be a little bit retarded, because his works were primitive and childish, he lived all his life in poverty.

"My Nikifor" is a movie done by Krzysztof Krauze. The main character is played by a talented actress (sic!) - Krystyna Feldman. This is her starring as Nikifor.

I have been struggling with this painting for a long time. Or should I rather say: I started it and then for a long time I haven't been able to finish it. Well, until now

Nikifor was a great artist, Krystyna Feldman is great actress and gosh You are great painter... wonderful job the only thing that distract me is shiner part of the neck, i know it's the same in refference but here it's a lil distracting...

I really like the angle of the shot and the emphasis on the neck and lower face. The nose adds tons of character. Looks great. The way you handled the glasses is really good too, you are brave!
