I did this work for Fabryka Slow - one of the polish book editiors - as a cover to Andrzej Pilipiuk's book in 2004. I hope you'll like it

The girl is a vampire. This book is a second part, so she is actually thinking about what hapened to her and her friends some time ago (t.i. in the first book ) That's why I used an illustration from the first book (also illustrated by me) and mixed it with a new drawing to create an impression of reminiscence.

Pros:

The shading is good.
The depth and looks of the city is cool.
I like the yellow and brown colour.

Cons:

I would like to see the city placed further to the right side (or the centre). Think composition!
The woman's foot's anatomy can be improved, it looks quite swollen (spellcheck).

Overall opinion/feedback:

Nice effect with the paper texture, though it looks very 'photoshop effect'. Over all cool work, but think more of the composition next time.

Pros:

Great light, shading and anatomy. You have a delicious linework, especially the woman is very well done.
Nice perspective and idea too.

Cons:

Personally I don't like the texture.... too distracting. I wish the picture to the left would be bigger and not so covered with texture so I'd be able to see the details better. Perhaps you could have faded it out like you did on the woman.

Overall opinion/feedback:

As I've said: Beautiful shading. Your idea works. Agree with Jane on her review.
