Description

This picture started as a portrait of two young ladies. Then it turned into a cold environment with an ice princess and a weird tower. It was ment to be a portrait of a proud and lordly sorceress (see below)

And so it stayed on my disk for months, and then came a time to do sth with it. I was in the mood that made me hate pretty much everything, and I wanted to burn down all the bad things that were wrong in my life. And apparently it influenced this picture a lot. The sorceress is calm, she had been unhappy before, but she went furious and she burned her icy castle to the ground. Now she is free to enjoy the beauty of the Spring.

Wow, this one is SO good! The contrasting cold and warm colors, the depth in the picture and such amazingly skillful details... ohh, how could I forget the perfect lighting? A masterpiece I would say

But isn't the tower slightly out of perspective? Quite possibly intended.

clr-96d6ffskies - I really don't see much of the perspective here but if you mean the way the towers are situated between each other, then I have to admitt I did not pay much attention to that - I saw them as unequal in height

I am quite ok - paintingwise - I'd love to get better though. I have a new tablet - I swithed from Trust to Wacom and it makes a huuuge difference - now I have to work on my skills

The summer version is definetly much better. It is livelier due to the warm colours, and more interesting to look at. I also think her facial expression is more believable in this version than in the other one.
